Yas Waterworld Chooses K-array for Outdoor Entertainment
Yas Waterworld is the world’s leading water park with 40+ world class rides, slides and attractions. Hosting multiple events weekly, the park required high quality, outdoor sound systems for two of its outdoor entertainment elements: Ladies Night and Cinema under the Stars.
Ladies Night
The Ladies Night is a weekly event that takes place within the waterpark outdoor areas including a live DJ. A sound system was needed that was light and portable while offering the power and low end needed for the event.
The combination of two 18 inch subwoofers with four KR102 tops was perfect for this application as well as the weatherproof design which was ideal for the open-air venue.
Cinema under the Stars
Cinema under the stars is an outdoor cinema experience where crowds come to watch movies on the beach. Therefore, a weatherproof audio system was needed with high power and long throw.
The KR802 system was selected with the double 18 subs offering the low end needed for the cinematic experience. They were mounted on a two- meters line array column providing long and even coverage over the entire listening area so everyone experiences the same high quality audio.
