Taiga, a nightspot that defined the Lebanese nightclub scene since the 2000s opened in Dubai on the 2nd of December 2014 at the Radisson Blue Hotel Down Town in a fully booked party featuring Lebanese pop artist Naji Osta. The club, which also sets several music environments including R’n’B, House, Arabic, dance anthems, hosts live music performances from recognized artists within a state-of-the-art lighting and sound experience.
Procom ME, the Dubai-based professional audio and lighting company, was the club’s audio, lighting and video solution provider, handling the supply and installation of the venue. Staying true to the arched wall architecture of Taiga Beirut, Taiga Dubai studded its curved walls with a LED wall of more than 10000 pcs of DMX-controlled RGB LED pin lights and seamlessly nestled a 20 sqm curved LED screen in the middle to immerse guests in a full visual experience. Procom team assembled the LED wall on site. The venue’s lighting system consists of more than a dozen Cyclops Lighting moving heads including the compact fast moving beam CL200B and the powerful RGBWA LED wash CPX91-MZ along with stroboscopes. The lighting is controlled by Avolites’ Tiger Touch II lighting console that offers a fast and intuitive interface complete with 10 pageable playbacks and 10 static playbacks, perfect for the clubs spontaneously changing mood. For accurate and reliable dimming, Procom installed Philips Strand 6 pack dimmer with fan free convection cooling system. The lighting system is carried on 30m of black Eurotruss FD series aluminum trusses secured across the venue’s ceiling.
“The Procom team delivered the job with high level of technical knowledge and they were very cooperative and worked round the clock to deliver the venue without compromising on the end result” said Emile Barbary owner of Taiga.
Taiga promises to be one of the hottest spots in Dubai in the coming season.
