Bar du Port

Located in the luxurious Dubai Harbour Pier Club, Bar du Port offers French cuisine with sophisticated cocktails. The interior designers of Bar Du Port aimed for a bohemian look, using a lot of earth tones in their design and materials. Bar Du Port has chosen Procom Middle East to provide the sound and lighting for this venue.

For the sound system at Bar Du Port,  the Artec 500 speakers from DAS Audio were chosen. Three determining factors influenced the choice of Artec 500 series for this venue: the venue required an excellent, reliable, and durable audio system, especially given the venue’s proximity to the sea. Additionally, the sound system needed to be homogeneous for both indoor and outdoor use. The Artec 500 series offers wide bandwidth and high SPL in a discreet and simple box design. To complete both indoor and outdoor audio design, a variety of DAS Audio Artec 500 series cabinets were selected including, Artec-510, Artec-508, Artec-506, and Artec-s15 loudspeakers for low-end support. Additionally, the Action-218A was used for increased bass response around the DJ, and all the zones are powered with PA series amplifiers. A pair of Artec-526A units provided the required high SPL and low-frequency reproduction for the DJ monitors.

The complete venue is controllable via a custom-built IPAD control implemented via Symetrix Prism 12×12, Control Server, and ARC-3B units. The venue runs on digital audio streams via Dante and the DJ booths were connected to the central control through DA11AEN and DA11DE from Blustream.
