This hands-on training will provide participants with an immersive learning experience to master the world of ProAV Managed switches and AV network design.
Netgear ProAV is renowned for manufacturing innovative and user-friendly managed AV-Line switches, known for their reliability, affordability, and ease of installation and maintenance.
This course is intended for individuals working in the AV industry or dealing with professional AV setups. Upon completion of the course, participants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to work effectively with ProAV Managed switches, design and manage AV networks, troubleshoot issues, and make the most of the available technologies and protocols for audio-visual applications.

- Full AV switch range overview, redundancy design, and practical implementation
- Differences between AES67, Q-SYS, Dante and PTP implementation
- Password recovery procedures and user management with varying access privileges. Network security including Access Control Lists (ACLs), and practical guidance on blocking multicast traffic on uplinks to customer premises
- Recommendations and use cases for fiber modules, including SFP, SFP+, QSFP, SFP28, covering different speeds and bandwidth
- Explanation of VLAN routing with a focus on unicast routing in AV network design, along with bandwidth considerations and NETGEAR’s IGMP Plus implementation
- Hands-on configuration practices for switches using Engage Controller, showcasing the AV User Interface (UI) and Main UI, core and edge switch configuration, and the creation of a working AV network with Audio and Video devices. Configuration backup, restoration, troubleshooting, and understanding Tech Support files
