Atelier M, located at Pier 7 in the Marina, needed to upgrade the luxurious design of its 3 floors destination that combines: a fabulous restaurant for dinner, an art-deco inspired lounge for evening entertainment and a rooftop terrace offering one of a kind views of Dubai marina.
The management approached Procom for the lighting of the club but thanks to our portfolio and professionalism they were also interested in upgrading the rooftop which was added to the project.
Everything on the roof needed to be weatherproof, dustproof as well as be able to take all the heat and Dubai’s burning sun during summer.
At the club we installed: 2 x SL660 bars on 2 truss legs, patched and pixel mapped to Avolite’s titan one.
On the rooftop we installed: Two 3x2m led outdoor screens with 3.91 pitch. These were hung on two Eurotruss HD34 goal posts which were built next to the walls.
More than 2400 m of LED beam lines were used on the existing roof steel structure that covered the entire lounge. The effect of this lighting is visible from the entire marina area facing pier 7. They are all driven by SD-3 LED drivers and power supplies and are all controlled by Neo Madrix.
Each beam is individually controllable. Power distribution boxes were custom made to mount the lighting gear properly.
Procom team overcame major challenges, mostly in the installation process since, since we had to abide by major processes and regulations in terms of working time, we were limited to late night and early morning, and it was not allowed to drill into or alter any building beams or structures to mount the led bars
The client is exceptionally happy with the final result, they even noticed an increase of clients visits due to the attractive lighting seen from down the Marina. Also, the screens have added a new element to the venue allowing to showcase sports games and special corporate events.
