Ableton Live is a software music sequencer and digital audio workstation for macOS and Windows. In contrast to many other software sequencers, Ableton Live is designed to be an instrument for live performances as well as a tool for composing, recording, arranging, mixing, and mastering, as shown by Ableton's companion hardware product, Ableton Push. It is also used by DJs, as it offers a suite of controls for beatmatching, crossfading, and other different effects used by turntablists, and was one of the first music applications to automatically beat match songs.
Procom is now offering in Dubai an Ableton live training that will be divided into two levels: Discovery Level (2 days) and Remix Level (2 days).
The "Discovery Level" is a 2-day hands-on workshop that covers the basics of ABLETON Live software. Participants do not require any previous knowledge of the software or mixing.
The content includes but is not limited to discovering the full menu interface, operating the software preferences, navigation inside the interface and understanding the philosophy behind the software. It will also include an introduction to the PUSH controller: Working through a session, saving and creating new clips, mixes, stages, scenes, use of the clip window, loop function, warp mode, working with MIDI files, virtual Instruments & effects, pre-mastering and saving of projects
Finally, our certified trainer will give a live demonstration and create a live piece.
Participants are encouraged to participate in the following "Remix Level" training to deepen their knowledge and be able to create their own remix
Hardware and software will be provided.
